Canary Wharf flats will get cheaper in 2008

BBC: City 'to lose 6,500 jobs' in 2008

My barometer is a Barbican studio flat. I quite liked the idea of one of those two years ago when they cost £150,000. They are now £300,000 silly me... anyway its an easy 'unit' to compare

Funny, that many jobs going in the city, no one really gives a t0ss. If it were a manufacturing company we'd be mourning the loss of skilled jobs...

You have seen nothing yet. I wouldn't be surprised if this 6,500 will spiral up to 65,000 in a few years time.

I Hope not JU - I cried so much at the thought of 6,500 city types losing their jobs that 65,000 would just devastate me.
