Foxtons, probably the most hated estate agents in the world.
Dry eyes all round among their customers.

This is so funny, Foxtons in London was sold but the American branches were not sold apparently because the owner wanted to focus on the US side of the business, I suspect he left it too late and couldn't sell in time!!

No one can be surprised by this, but hopefully it will provide a clue to English estate agents just how useless they are. American real estate agents certainly aren't the greatest people, but they're worlds more professional and helpful than their English counterparts. The typical American house sale closes in 4 - 6 weeks from the point of an offer being made and there's none of this business of gazumping or gazundering or offers not being passed on or endless chains or 6 - 9 month closings. American real estate agents don't respond when you call their office asking about a certain listing by immediately asking you if you have a house to list yourself. Foxtons in the US was toast from the get go.

Sad for the 350 employees but glad that the global spread of the Foxtons brand has been contained for now

Excellent news! I have no pity whatsoever for the company or the pushy staff.
