Bring on the recession!!!

MSN Money: Do we need a recession?

I was at a conference with people from various business sectors the other week, and the talk somehow got round to graduate trainees and work experience staff. Most of those around the table had horror stories about how demanding the new generation was. One person spoke of how law firms were so desperate to recruit the top graduates that they were taking them out on all-expenses paid nights out - and even then, the little ingrates demanded to know where the free champagne was.

That's absolutely insane! Most graduates I know are glad if they're even able to get basic shop work when they come out of uni, and a lot of them would be willing to work for free for a few weeks (or even months!) to get work experience; the majority of my friends have good degrees and very good A levels.

We are going to get a recession whether we think we need it or not.
I gave up on buying another house after selling my existing one because you're competing with overstretched nutcases to buy anywhere.
A recession will teach them some valuable lessons(whilst ruining a lot of them). I just hope I get to keep my job.
