Official figures aside, there is a heavy build up of inflation even prior to the actions of the past 2 weeks.

Does anybody want to get involved in a partnership to sell wheelbarrows? I predict the demand for purchase of these garden items is about to go up considerably.

As a retail sales prediction on the other hand: the sale of conventional wallets & purses might just possibly go down.

It seems that there is a lot of inflation out there with the public being hoodwinked into thinking that it's low by the irrelevant CPI pedalled by the govenment and the media.

Perhaps they're trying to keep the 'feel good factor' stumbling on long enough for an early election.

I just hope that somehow or another Joe Public finally realises that their wages are not going anywhere near as far as they once did and that the government are held to account.

David Smith doesn't agree. He says that there is no underlying higher inflation rate, even though everybody in the papers is writing about it-the rate in their opinion being closer to 4-6%.
