The credit crunch will get worse before it improves, driven by liquidity issues says Jon Cunliffe. Rates may be cut in response to the developing crisis and opportunities will develop for investors as the yield curve steepens, he adds.

There are a lot of weak mortgagees in the Sub Prime market. They won't all go bust on the same day. Expect problems to continue. The "teaser" loans for the first 2 years haven't worked through, yet.
Expect ongoing uncertainty till Easter 08.
