Here are my tips on selling your house..
1. Drop the price, its probably extortionately overvalued.
2. try lowering the asking price, it may attract more interest
3. accept offers under the asking price, maybe your aspirations outweigh reality..
4. stop being such a greedy cnunt and sell it at an affordable price, Don't you know that houses are now dropping in value, you muppet.
5. Don't sell your house, simply wait until your credit card debt, car loans, mortgage rate increases and that holiday loan you took out, default enough for the bank to take it of your hands for you.

Brilliant story. "We can't sell our house at a hugely overpriced figure. Why?"
Not really newsworthy but worth seeing just for the photo of the greedy couple at the top.

800k for somewhere in Coventry. No chance. Coventry is for people from Warwick who go broke.

Well they do say that a picture's worth a thousand words.
In the picture you see a middle aged couple giving a cuddly impression of "What nice people we are."
Behind them is their house, and around it are mature trees, so it's a leafy sub-urb, confirmed by the text of the story.
To the left is a typical large house with fake Elizabethan boarding, like you see in many places, yes it's all very affluent sub-urb.
>>> BUT <<<
Their house is a Modern Red Brick Building, with the photograph carefully cropped to remove the roof (probably red concrete tiles)
and their upper storey windows are only half height, probably to keep the roof eaves and ridge line down below a certain height (as dictated by the planners).
and it has the requisite conservatory, but its too small to be anything else except a covered patio, probably only big enough to put 2 children's chairs, if that.
>>> And they have a problem selling <<<
??? WHY ???
Because its been built in the garden of a larger house, to which they probably aspired but failed, and honestly, its hideous.
Then ask yourself the question, would you want to live there ???
For the same money - how about a nice country estate, instead of a red brick wendy-house, in the Lord and Lady's garden.
I'm off to put up my tent now, in Cornwall, so I've got an even bigger back garden, and a nice view.
(provided it dosn't rain ...)

Nice house, shame about the price.

My verdict; 200,000 pounds, not a penny more, simply because I suspect the same house was traded undoubtedly at 250,000 level 10 years ago, I deduct ten years depreciation from that level.

Michael Martin, was the Law Society President who was responsible for seeking judicial review proceedings to try to retain the conveyancing market for solicitors. He tried to retain a fixed fee percentage charge. He failed. Perhaps this indicates his level of knowledge of property law and practice. He obviously doesn't understand market economics very well.

This is so funny. I actually work around this area. Honestly these houses were sold at an astronomical price of £250,000 five years ago.
I ve been working there for 2 years, I know this is a nicer part of conventry more Kenelworth than coventry.
And this is not the only house, there are loads of such houses on the market and have been since I have been working there.
Not only this, the estate just next to it, those who paid around £100,000 to £160,000 also value at £400,000
Funny, they can't sell it

My hunch is something isn't it? Though still a bit too generous.

Basically it's an ugly property that looks as though it's been designed by a complete amateur -

For that sort of money, never mind 899,000k, you can get some serious nice properties with some character and land.
This couple are idiots and have probably watched one series too many of 'Location Location Location'.
"I pity the poor fool who buys their house!"
