I've been trying to post a comment supporting TESCO - this is a great example of the free market in action.

Estate Agents are worried because their stranglehold may be jeopardized.

Oh dear, what a pity, never mind.

I've just looked at the tesco site and it actually looks really good. What's more, it appears to give you more control over the sale and the ability to negotiate directly with those interested, but for a fraction of the cost. I think if I were selling a house I would try this site first. No wonder EA's are worried, this is going to take them completely out of the loop and maybe reduce all of their dirty tricks - you know, not passing on offers, encouraging aspirational pricing etc. Time to get your P45's guys and gals.

tesco killed the EAstar?

if prices drop as tesco enter the market - will they bear the brunt being blamed for the crash? am sure the EAs would suggest it.

I agree Uncle Chris but I bet we will see a push from these Guys for Gordon Brown to save them, "A Great British Insitution is threatened" and all that sort of guff!!

Uncle Chris

You used the phrase "guys and girls" when talking about Estate Agents. This implies they are human; on the basis that you can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear, you should have said "Time to get your P45s amoebic dysentery cell 1 and amoebic dysentry cell 2."
