In reality Nationwide's 25 year fixed has always been there, but how does this address the problem?

Not a bank that wants profits then?
I assume the Nationwide will be "Investigating" the problem in the future and said managers that initiated the 25 year fixed will be well looking for alternate employment.
I wouldnt like to say whats happeninging in 5 years let alone 25.
Maybe its 25 years at 15% but i doubt it.
