The Landlord Association: Obsession with buy to let investment property growing
In the face of increasing house prices, pressure on the private rented sector is set to grow. Affordable housing offers a solution for some, but the importance of the private rented sector is simply too important to ignore...

It's a bit rich claiming the "The Landlord Association" is the source of the article. The articles you post are from other news sources and should be referenced accordingly.

"the role that the private rented sector can play in balancing housing supply and easing affordability pressures"
Landlord,
can you please explain to me what the above means?
If there is a shortage of houses (this is what you said previously) how can the competition of private landlords to buy houses (which are in short supply) help with FTB affordability?

It's flats again, the Landlords are going to buy up all those newbuild flats and rent them out to the UK's mobile workforce as they are shunted from one job to the next in the Great Depression. The big thing about rented flats is that there is no stamp duty to pay to the treasury or estate agents/solicitors fees every time you move.
It's all part of the great plan to grind the plebs down, who needs affordable housing when we have the landlord's association looking after our interest's and fighting the governments stealth taxes on our behalf.
Three Cheers for the Landlords Housing Association.

Confused 76 It's obvious that the Landlord Association has no interest in helping FTB affording to buy - only in the profits they can make out of people who can't afford to buy. They just see these people as £££ signs for themselves but then you knew that really didn't you?

Dean,
You are not a regular panelist on television.
You are not famous.
You are not a board director of a registered company.
You are not an important figure, or not important to anyone other than your friends.
You are a lone individual.
With aspirations of grandeur.
Come on - give this Walter Mitty charade up.

And there is no such recognised association as "The Landlord Association"

I bet "The Landlord Association" is just "Glorious Sunshine" come back to do some "bear baiting"
Looking at the traffic on the site over the past couple of days I think he acheived his aim.
Guys, unless you actually enjoy banging your head against a wall just give up trying to argue with good ole Dean - he is a lost cause and will get his come-uppance eventually.

Guys, why don't some of you log into The Landlord Association Forum .... ?

You could do just as much harm by letting Money Extra know that he is ripping off its articles. It doesn't matter if the source is quoted, unless there is an agreement to syndicate (which I doubt), cutting and pasting large amouts of an article not belonging to you will land you in hot water. I believe that stealing copyright is a criminal offence.....

This guy gas a right to post so long as its from an valid source, otherwise there is no two way street.
I actually think he is right that private renting will play and important part in the uk economy and more BTL = Lower rents by supply and demand, as to is it a good investment Vs Risk now as opposed 10 years ago , well thats a different story.
