Kirstie angry at House Price crash
www.morefamous.co.uk: Kirstie angry at House Price crash
Poor Lass. Looking a bit ropey last night. Maybe it's the though of all that hat eating she'll be doing
in the Autumn. Off last night's "show", apart from the usual of showing prospective buyers properties 100K
over budget, the hapless duo also mentioned that Aldershit was a good place for "investment" due
to a "ripple effect" from Guildford.
Interesting that, as I recall Phil mentioning on a 5 live interview that they didn't have an interest in talking up
the market, but here he is on prime time C4 encouraging investment in Aldershit. Am I missing something here ?

We want to create a house price crash? how rude!
Kirsty, if you are reading this, the truth is, WE NEED A CRASH just to get a bloody foot on the ladder..
Not everyone in their 20's, 30's and even 40s can get a fkin house at 350k "what a bargain!!"
Now bu@@er off and get a real job, while I watch this ridiculous house of cards fall down..
BTW.., the crash has started, so you better get your P45 sorted out.

Can't think why property speculators and tv presenters who have made big bucks off the back of a property might not like the site! I think they just lose track of ordinary finacial relality - I'm sick of reading the celeb profiles in the money sections of the Sunday papers where comments such as 'Last year was quiet finacially, I only earned a high five figure/low six figure sum' abound. I long ago boycotted anything on tv presented by Kirsty and her sidekick - who can be bothered watching the poor things trying to find something suitable when they only have 500k to spend etc! I would start watching again if a bit more honesty crept in and we were told that the clients had £500k because they had mortgaged themselves to the hilt and sponged however much of their parents hard earned retirement fund. Even better, each episode could end with a few shots of the seedy B&B room the clients and their children will end up in when the market goes down the drain and their modest 500k buy has been repossessed.

Maybe Kirstie's ratings are going south. PS. Kirstie if you are reading this I am a First Time Buyer trying to get on the ladder and just would be happy with a stagnation in the Market rather than a crash but we may well get a crash now because of stupid slack BOE monetory policy and shows like yours that have no intrinsic value what so ever.
By the way buying a house is a hassle enough as it is so the last thing I would want is annoying people like you and your side kick pestering me whilst I was engaged in house hunting.
If you were not worried about a crash then you would just ignore this site. PS when your show gets pulled we may be able to watch something worthwhile during that slot such as a repeat of Dads Army or something.....
By the way I must congratulate you for managing to be consistantly one of the most annoying people on TV.

posted 24 october 2006. Even worse I think the incident itself may have happened in 2004.

Amusing, but irrelevant.
I'm guilty of this as well, but everyone should check the dates on articles before posting them.

Well, she did make the comment in 2005 that if house prices ever went down she would eat her hat.
She knows that we - of all people - will hold her to that, and she's probably not very happy at the prospect of a mouthful of felt/straw. Still she doesn't appear to have been too fussy what she eats as of late ...

That show is nothing more than 'entertainment'... akin to Big Brother... although last night was verging on comedy... the one benefit of such shows is that they do provide insight into the way people are thinking in the UK...

LOL... :)
...It's quite heartening that they actually look at this site though - they probably realise the writing is on the wall as the credit crunch wrings the life out of HPI.

LOL - keep posting, we can make a difference!

Oooooooooooooooooooooh, Kirsty,
So rude. Still, I like the web site, is it all your own work like your property 'developments'?
I particularly like the fact that you advertise No Win No Fee Accident claims. Whilst close to my profession (although unlike you I wish to remain a clear mile between this 'work' and I), It does show perhaps the priorities of you, your readers and those linking to your site...making apparently 'free' money.

True Tyrell,
This site has been banging on for ages about a HPC and one hasn't materialised yet, so you wonder why they feel so threatened. It isn't exactly a massively advertised site with more media profile than her, so the only reason i can think of is the one you suggest.

Mind you Kirsty,
You do have a nice spankable backside!
Am I allowed to say that monitor?

This reminds me of the comment of a pyramid scheme organizer a few years ago, saying "Unless you people (media) make a fuss about our business, nothing's wrong with the scheme. Leave us alone".

Just to be contrian, I think she is quite tasty in a slightly odd, "the chick at uni" kind of way. Also, considering she is absolutely minted (and from what I have heard not just from property) I think she is quite remarkable in her un-snobby attitudes towards people and what they can afford.
You cant blame her for doing her job. Its akin to saying someone driving a car is responsible for an over heated penquin on the South Pole.

Heger, I would need at least 6 pints of wifebeater before I entertained a shuffle in the bedroom with Kirsty..
In the words of some superior being "she is damaged goods"

haha
A complete change of topic. Going to look at a rental house on Monday and I calculated the yield as 3.9% excluding any accruals for insurance, vacancy, running costs, tax etc. I asked to see if it was likely to eventually be up for sale as I really like the look of it and the agent said "doubtful as its an investment property". I laughed.

Nice one Hedger...and George :)
If Kirsty (et al) was really smart she'd start hatching a plot to do a program about trying to maximise your dough in a falling market - this way she can make a living out of misery on the way down too. Ultimately she could do this until she retires!

That's a good idea, I think many prople will need this type of advice in the comming months.

This pompous thick woman is at least partly responsible for all this mess, but like all of her ilk she will come up with some programme "How to sell your house in a downward market" sort of thing. In fact I saw her on daytime tv pitching that very sort of line, seemingly oblivious of the utter junk she was telling people as recently as March 2008. Thanks to repeats you can still see her and her evil sleezeball sidekick spouting the nonsense about house price growth, so she can't exactly deny it. The shapeshifting opinions remind me of our politicians. Far less than this led to a revolution in France and in Russia, to name but two of the many countries that responded badly to the appalling treatment by wealthy people of the impoverished masses. God save us all from these greedy, stupid, evil people.
