FT.com: Investors’ flight from risk picks up pace
JPMorgan observed that swings in derivatives prices were so extreme they implied “scenarios in which the core of the global liquidity system suffers a serious assault”.

heh, yes.
I have a wry feeling that "suckers" boils down to us, our savings, mortgages and pensions.

Stock markets do tend to panic, they massively underestimate the risk then they massively overestimate it then after a few months when their cocaine and adrenaline induced frenzy wears off slightly they might hit about the right sort of level, just in time to start being wildly over-optimistic again.
