My wife and I have just got back some bank charges, which has put us in the black.

We officially have no debt whatsoever, in any shape or form.
No substantial savings either, but then, in an atmosphere of rising inflation there is a certain twisted advantage to that. I feel I need a Swiss bank Account.

I am moving a few hundred into bonds and will wait for a proper stock market and housing correction before buying shares and a house. Maybe a spot of gold along the way.

My wife and I are in similar position, ie debt free. However we have a decent deposit towards a property and I am worried about what to do with it. I hear all the talk on this site about inflation eating savings, not to mention the extra tax you pay. I would not have the first clue about buying gold or moving it to a swiss account.

I have to admit that I'm clueless too but I recall lots of advice in MoneyWeek. Must visit the MoneyWeek web page again.
