It would appear that disposable income isn't what it used to be

Timesonline: First Choice losses widen as job cuts loom

First Choice Holidays has reported a widening of first-half losses, ahead of its planned merger with Thomson, which could result in thousands of job losses.

The package holiday group said that operating losses increased 26 per cent to £82.5 million in the six months to April 30, as a string of acquisitions pushed up financing costs.

Traditional packages are getting a bit old hat, book a cheap flight, rent a cheap car and stop in a nice British owned BTL apartment/villa in your chosen European destination with no Roaches and no tossers.

Nice operating loss as well which means less tax for Gordon.
