Firstly, I have lurked at the fringes of this site for over a year now, this is my first posting. I can't pretend to understand a large proportion of what I read here financially speaking ( I can wire a plug!!), but as someone who was burnt the last time around, I am constantly astonished at how short memories people are re- our alleged armour plated housing market. This and similar postings recently highlight the smoke/ mirrors and general subterfuge being employed to give an impression everything in the garden is rosy, when it quite plainly isn’t. If there isn’t a big pile of cr@p in the road – why try to hide it……..
Life, don’t talk to me about life!!!!!!

Yes Marvin, I remember the last crash and it was bad for me too. I was 8 years old. A TV program was based on it and my parents had to watch it, which meant that I could not use the TV to play my Nintendo. It was terrible.

Inflation might return? Might? Take a look at the price of food, a train ticket, a house now compared with 5 years ago .......

Marvin I think the most alarming thing for HM Govt is when the unions wake up and start asking for really commensurate incomes so they can (possibly) buy not only houses but rent them from the BTL'rs as well - Do you remember in the Callaghan years?
I CANT CONTROL MY MEMBERS!!

That s how your kids will feel in a few months. Humble piece of advice: buy a second TV set for them.
