why should falling uk house market do anything to the stock market? If anything, BTL cashing in will allocate some of their funds in stocks and push the market up
If you mean internationally, who is going to give a sh@t about the UK housing market anyway, and petro-dollars will be moved to other assets
really - and believe me I have NO PLEASURE saying this - only uk people investing in housing for their pensions will be scr@**d
international landlords if in negative equity will gladly default. there will be job losses in retail banking.
in summary the UK housing bubble will go uneventfully... oh, yes, Gordon will be a casualty, but who cares...
