Time-share should have died years ago
Times Online: Cheap at the price - Fractional ownership is a way of pooling the cost of a holiday home
"Fractionally owned homes are usually managed and maintained by a third party, to whom owners pay a handsome annual management fee." ... "If all this sounds similar to timeshare, there is one important difference. With timeshare you purchase the right to use the property for a number of weeks; with fractional ownership, you are buying the bricks and mortar" ... Semantics - guess who is making a packet, and since the market is CRASHING they are now passing on the PROFIT in building value .. err NOT I think. Its another way to con people out of their cash. How about a proper holiday under canvas ... and you can then packup your "house" and put it up again somewhere else next weekend.

Here is the lead article, about HIPs, etc.
There will only be cheers if the hip makes us greener
Its ludicrous, a bed costing £49,000 including filing cabinets in the headboard, yeh working from "Home" has changed to working from "Bed" but it doesn't help if you havent got a home to put the bed into !!!
The best bit is the cartoon, should be called "Carry on Camping" ...

I have a holiday home with a seaview, not 100 yards from my porch. Its a huge livingroom, with three bedrooms, kitchen and utility room, nestled in the lovely Welsh countryside on the edge of National Trust woodland.
It cost me 300 quid, but the poles a bu@@er to get up in the right order...!!

Rock on George, see you on Crib Goch (that classic scramble up Mt Snowdon, for those who havn't been there yet).
We'll be pegged out in a field near Tryfan with the kids.
