Sooner the better for the US economy
www.cbsnews.com: Bush: If Iraq Says Leave, "We Would Leave."
President Bush said today if the Iraqi government were to ask the United States to leave Iraq, he would grant the request.
"We are there at the invitation of the Iraqi government. This is a sovereign nation. Twelve million people went to the polls to approve a constitution. It's their government's choice,’’ the president said during a Rose Garden news conference. "If they were to say leave, we would leave."

The USA will never leave Iraq and the present Iraqi government is a puppet regime who have no say in whether the USA occupies their country or not. Please see the article 'Operation Iraq Forever' at the following link: http://www.uruknet.info/?p=m32898&hd=&size=1&l=e

The USA will never leave Iraq. The current Iraqi regime is a puppet government set up the USA who will do their masters bidding. It's not up to them to decide if the USA should leave. See the article 'Operation Iraq Forever' at this link: http://www.uruknet.info/?p=m32898&hd=&size=1&l=e

The USA will never leave Iraq. The current puppet government will not ask them to leave because they have no autonomy. Please read the following article 'Operation Iraq Forever' http://www.uruknet.info/?p=m32898&hd=&size=1&l=e

Wasn't it a sovereign nation when it was illegally invaded in 2003? Does anyone remember the Iraqis asking the US to 'liberate' their country in the first place? Is a government whose members were, in effect, chosen by the US, likely to ask its military to leave?

The US is not planning to leave the Middle East. They are there for one reason: to secure the oil.
The Fed can print as much money as it likes but it cant make crude oil!
The effect of restricted oil supply on the US economy would be far, far greater than the cost of this war, which for the most part is simply a wealth reallocation exercise anyway i.e. tax payers to large corporations.
