Shame we don't see something similar here!

BBC: Spanish law targets house prices

The Spanish Parliament has passed a law aimed at controlling property speculators whom the government blames for spiralling house prices.

It comes to something when the Spaniards are tackling corruption with more vigour that us lot!

Property speculators are unregulated. Unregulated investors rig markets. It's a law of nature!

so will this legislation reach to include those expat Brits who have caused between 250K and a million properties (depending on which angle the press want to highlight) to be bought and sold over the past 15 years? Nice fillup for the Spanish that and now the market has peaked it's a good time to turn of the tap and get all protective eh?

Loverly, this is going to be fun to watch. The whole of Spain and Portugal is full of "ex"-cons, exported from the rest of Europe !!! It's not just UK, it's Germany, Norway, Sweden, etc. I bet this is just more election propaganda, the first test case will shoot holes in the legislation and what about the European "Human Rights" to profit at somebody elses expense. It'll never catch the big fish, it's always the small fry that get squashed anyway.

This is the end result of Spanish Protests over property prices. If you ever needed a reason to attend the Brighton Protest here is an example of what can be accomplised.
