Oh Dear - This is why we're right

This article captures most of the reasons why I believe a HPC will happen. None of these factors will be the catalyst but all will act as an accelerant. Hopefully we'll be able to identify the catalyst before the end of this year; if not, then the catalyst is unlikely to appear before 2010. I just hope the HPC happens before I start drawing my pension in 2035.

The catalyst is public perception. There's already a swing in the press towards an impending crash, which is a self fulfilling phrophesy.

sorry... the article is mostly about tax increases, I do not see the connection with HPC...
had the overall personal tax burden been lower (all rest equal) house prices would be even higher
what the article does not mention, is that Blair/Brown have left so many "holes" in their fiscal policy allowing welthy foreign individuals to be tax free in this country and that has contributed to the housing market buoyancy
