Laughable HIPs mess!

Telegraph: Four-beds become three in HIP fiasco

Estate agents said that they would be recommending all sellers of four bedroom houses to re-market their homes as three-bedroom properties with an extra study or reception room. This would allow them to avoid paying for a £600 pack and save the time tracking down one of the few qualified inspectors.

This is b***s**t! A three bed and a study fetches far less than a four bed... and you do want to lower the asking price by 10 grands to save £600 on a HIP

I think complaining about the HIPs is pure madness, which makes me think that we in the UK fully deserve to be scr***d by the estate agents... HIPs were a good place to start regulating this otherwise completely wild market

You can be sure the housing market will crash now the government wants to start regulating the whole mess they created by holding interest rates well below their real level creating a casino like market.

The lead comes from the top. As politicians are, so estate agents are and so will the people become. We are turning into a nation af liars, spinners and general cloak-and-dagger time-wasting to delay anyone getting to any truth of any use.

Or am I on a complete bender today?

We already are a nation of shallow, lying, whinging, money-grabbing, bullsh*ting, work-and-property obsessed back-stabbers. And that's just everyone else's view.
