All good and well saying that baby boomers contribute to society, but the article doesn't give any evidence of it.

They probably spend a lot, buy property, go on holidays and have an income from a good pension.

A consumer based society will after all benefit in the short term from splurging ove 50's.

After that though who knows whats in store for the younger ones?

Not quite sure boomers are responsible for HPI. Irresponsible lending and poor Government policy
are, togethor with a "City" more interested in wrecking the real economy for its greed. I'm a 51 y/o "boomer" thats been off/on the property ladder like a yoyo in order to be flexible for the labour market, retrained myself several time, so I'm now working in an industry that is brutally ageist (and didn't even exist when I left school). Its not all polishing the SLK on Sundays, followed by a round of golf in the afternoon and second house in the Algarve.
