Anyone fancy bringing down the neighbourhood?

Firstrung: Have 'The Blairs' made an equitable profit from their Connaught Square property?

Despite rising house prices throughout Britain, Tony and Cherie Blair have failed to capitalise on the property market. They sold their home in on Richmond Crescent in Islington for £615,000 in 1997, just before the housing market began to rocket. Had the Blairs purchased their next home, 29 Connaught Square, shortly thereafter, they would have paid a mere £1,400,000. By the time they did invest in the London housing market in 2004, the house's value had leapt up to £3.65 million...

C'mon! Bliars will be earning tens of millions by lucrative US tours! They don't give a damn to the loss in this now a tiny BTL enterprise at all. I believe he really needed to cling to his position simply because he wanted to be introduced in the US as 'the man having served as the British PM for more than a decade', all at the cost of more than 100 British servicemen let alone innocent Iraqi women and children. If we call this creep a leech, leeches in the whole world will surely be very angry.

I think Bliar has jumped ship just before the sh*t hits the fan with the Cash-for-honours scandal. Hopefully some of the brown stuff will still stick to him and damage his marketability on the lecture circuit.

I agree, the reason why there's no contender for the crown of PM is that Bliar and GB(H) have created a poison chalise. Get rid of both of them asap. But how on earth can the damage be rectified. A legacy of bad Pensions, bad Endowment policies, lack of investment, re-nationalisation of the railways, death and destruction, etc. cannot be changed (who's going to pay for it, the Tax payer?)

I was appalled at the sycophantic crooning over Blairs legacy. He was a liar to the end. I just hope he is caught, charged, tried, convicted and hanged before making a cent from his poxy after-dinner-speaker tour of the US. The murdering git.

I'm with you on that inbreda.

This insistence by his close aides that he has done an excellent job while outside the gilded gates, the peasants revolt over pensions, housing, Iraq war etc. etc. is reminiscent of a stalinist dictator.

Well the press now show their true colours, which just shows the reality gap between us and them!

Whats the difference between a Lawyer, a Politician and Statistics ?

1) A Lawyer is paid to lie to your face.
2) A Politicition is elected to lie behind your back.
3) Statistics are a pervertion of the truth to support a false argument (i.e. a bunch of lies concocted by somebody without the guts to lie either to your face or even behind your back !!! )

Which would you prefer ?
