What's that hissing noise ...

home.co.uk: London Soars Whilst Some Regions Suffer

... coming from the North ? ...
Without the benefit of capital gains to make up for the shortfall in rental
payments versus interest payments, considerable numbers of Buy-to-Let investors in
the northern property markets will have difficulty turning a profit this year and may

doomwatch,

Good article.
That will be all those flats in Manchster, Leeds, Nottingham etc depressing the market.

I know a friend who bought 4 properties through inside-track 2 years ago.
2 in Manchester and 2 in Florida. Oh dear.

Inside-Track & Co who promote these get rich quick schemes through property ownership have a lot to answer for. Couple this to the dodgy mortgage deals which are rife in this sector and look out !

Here comes that wave from across the atlantic.

Property is a good way to maintain your wealth, but do not expect to make a fortune from doing it. Wealth is usually generated by other means and then stored into property; starting your own business, stock/share trading, lottery, drugs, smuggling, prostitution, deception, etc.

Property crash? - impossible!
US sub-prime? - well, OK, but that's confined to US subprime.
Overall US property problem - well, OK, but that's the US, there are no such problems in Europe
Ireland and France? - well, OK, but it couldn't happen in the UK.
The North & the Midlands? - well, OK, but that's just the North and the Midlands, it couldn't affect London or the rest of the country.

....No, I'm serious.....it couldn't happen here.........it won't.......really.......[sticks head in sand].
