Observer: Georgian 17-room mansion: £60 to you

After struggling to sell their £650,000 home, a Yorkshire couple have decided to offer it as the prize in an internet contest Who's tempted?

What a great ruse - seems like they have 25,000 tickets at £60 each so - £1.5M - great - get to sell house for 'market' value (although if you couldn't sell it - seems it was over-priced!!!) and give money to charity - horses!!!!.

I like this idea - should do some more property lotteries!!!

Personally - I don't need a 17 mansion - a 2-bed semi would do me fine.

£650,000 to £60 thats 99.99% reduction - I wonder how the estate agents are going to calculate this one.

Not a new idea, has been done several times before (although not over the internet AFAIK).
