BBC News: Chinese growth heating up economy
2 points here.
Inflation to come out of China and move into the rest of the world (contrary to Smithy's opionions)
The posting last week on safe haven about a Chinese stock sell off wasn't too bad.

Not very long ago, economic data from China was largely ignored.
Suddenly, this year, it's gained a whole new importance - China coughs and the world jumps - and rightly so.
Expect to see further rises in the Yuan's value, and think about the effect that will have on commodity prices, and western inflation...

I can not see anything that suggests inflation in this country will not be on an upward trend for the foreseeable future? Unless house prices crash quickly (and i think they will take a while 3-4 years to the trough) we will have rates over 6% within 18 months, surely ?????!!!

This is a four and a half month trend which is likely to continue also (expect to see clothes up in price, amongst other things):
