Telegraph: I blame the baby boomers - for everything
I know it's difficult to get on the property ladder, but you could always try living in squalor for a bit with some friends while you save up - I mean, for goodness sake, it'll at least give you something to tell the grandkids - or take out one of those mortgages that is a trillion times your salary. But you won't do that, because it would be too hard, wouldn't it?

This silly girl doesn't understand much about global macroeconomics now, does she?
I would like to vote to give her a good spanking.

Badly written drivel.

What a load of absolute crap. It states that we are all lazy. The truth is that hard-working people in the south on 30-35k (myself included) cannot afford their own homes (highly skilled workers living like underclass riff-raff), so what chance do ordinary people have? This is clearly a comment made by someone with more money than sense.

Bless her. Maybe it's the time of the month. And no, I don't mean "just before the MPC meet" when all the "house prices not going up so much" 'stories' come out.

Badly written, yes. Very badly written. She could have put over her point much better.
Maybe she lacks the sense of outrage that most of us do, hence seems a bit unfocused.

I blame the baby boomers - for raising stuck up tarts like her. What is it with having a go at the service men (and woman) anyway. Some goon sits in the big brother house and gets millions, but someone cant sell their story if they've put their life on the line! Country gone totally mad. Its the only way they'll ever buy a house on their salaries.

Poor girl, but don't be to hard on her.
During the last property price crash she was only just starting secondary education.
The university of life will make graduation a painful process.

Did that make it into the printed Telegraph? What utter drivel. Pay peanuts get monkeys.
But why is it that as a 26 year old singleton she expects to be able to afford a place of her own? That's just not reasonable, even if we put aside BTLers, speculators and rampant HPI. Not only is she competing with other London singletons who are earning quite a bit more than she is as a (bad) journo with very few years experience but she is also competing with (gasp!) couples who quite clearly have at least twice her earnings capability.
I find her attitude to sharing "in squalor" quite surprising too. Setting your expectations a little high then, Princess? There, there, perhaps Daddy can buy you a nice little London pad.
