HPI has shifted the balance of assets held in the UK

Home.co.uk News: Where is Britains wealth?

In view of the potential for the UK housing market to go belly up, these figures are rather daunting.
A drop in the property market of say 20% overall would cause a huge swing in the opposite direction.

" Property now accounts for 55 per cent of people’s wealth in the UK;"

Wow! Imagine - if it keeps growing like this, then it could get ......well..........100% of our wealth. Wow! Imaging that - a whole 100% of the nation's wealth in houses. Mmmmmmmmmm!

( - Diversification, risk management - such out-dated 20th century ideas!)

Pounds and pence will be a thing of the past replaced by bricks, planks and screws. A Ford Focus would cost a conservatory, and a all inclusive carrabean cruise a spare bedroom. Well done Gordon....pr!ck.
