Times: Commuters push up the price of an average urban home in the UK
This market frenzy is fueled by irresponsible writing, like this exampe... what a bunch of B/S! We should complain directly with the author at judith.heywood@thetimes.co.uk

Some of the stats quoted mean that in real terms prices are dropping in many areas.
Not that the article picked up on that in any way.

Now I'm confused ... how come the "commuter" i.e. Joe Bloggs is responsible for the increases in housing prices, and why is he also being blamed for cheap train fares (ha ... don't you believe it). Looks like the government (that's GB(H) just to remind you) is trying to get off the hook for messing this up, with artificially low interest rates. Its the old boom / bust cycle again.
