Beeny: House prices have to go down
Evening Standard: Beeny: House prices have to go down
There was a centre page spread in the London Evening Standard last night (Thurs 25th 2007), featuring
Sarah Beeny talking about how ridiculous the UK property market is and how prices must come down. I
nearly chocked.
I'm buggered if I can find it online.

Well big-knocker Beeny has been pumping the market for years so she's made a wedge on the back of the property porn hysteria. She's gonna now try and initiate a crash so she can wade in from the bottom and start over. What will be interesting though is to watch these people to see if they offload their portfolios sharpish.

Anybody find it yet ?

The smart money will already be out of property or have diversified! You can bet on that. Most of the larger (successful) developers started to re-align their portfolios sometime ago. Even those two smarmy developers on the ITV programme the other week (where three experts made a judgement on whether there will be a crash) said they had started to ensure that they "didn't have all their eggs in one basket".
It is the folk who think [obviously] house prices never go down who will get stung.

tyrellcorporation - sorry I felt your personal comments about Sarah Beeny weren't particularly appropriate actually. I will stop reading this site if I see more comments like this.

Just to remind everyone. Over the past 300 years, excluding the war years, there has been a recession in the UK roughly every 18 years. Given that 1989 marked the beginning of the last one for us, 2007 and the next few years do not look good. This is a fact based on economic patterns, not bogus predictions.

Bigtits Beenie into pumping porn?
I believe it, and I'm happy to support the cause.
