Calling the top? Older generation downsizing and buying smaller properties for cash
Reuters: Property price boom creates cash buyers
Almost 400,000 people who plan to buy a new home in the first half of this year will be cash buyers, after raking in thousands of pounds in the property price boom.
Three million people are planning to buy a property between February and July, but 13 percent -- some 395,000 people -- say they will not need a mortgage, according to research by mortgage comparison Web site mform.co.uk.
