"He said he doesn't like it but he'll have to go along with it, Chris"
BBC "News": 'Strong chance' of UK rates rise
According to the BBC, inflation is now called "growth", BDO Stoy Hayward's opinion is merely "according to a report" and interest rate rises are bad (has the BBC ever hailed a rate rise as a good thing?). Bravo for the BBC's biased, self-interested cut-n-paste journalism.
I do hope someone picked up on my Chris Morris "The Day Today" quote.

The BoE doesn't have the bottle to raise rates.

'According to the BBC, inflation is now called "growth", '
The same way that Labour rebranded uncontrolled spending and wasting taxes as 'investment'

Hang on a minute guys, look at the upsides we have here in the UK:
like, er, gosh, well it does look a bit empty in this barn. Still, there's this big pile of immigrant bodies propping the roof up, but where have all the locals and workers gone? What do you mean on holiday in Spain or down the JobCentre?
And what happened to all our "stuff" you know, the things we had built up to weather storms like economic prudence, financial reserves, personal savings, national infrastructure, educated, intelligent, committed, congenial people structured into self-supporting communities and family groups that form the national fabric? Well at least there's a benevolent, selfless ruling class who care for the people and are trying to rebuild it.
What's that you say about a bonfire? What, just so they can light up the farmhouse and tell people it's still daytime? But why? Even if it burns until dawn what are we to do about replacing all the missing "stuff" tomorrow? And what about tomorrow night?

David- you're right about the BOE being very Dovish. Probably one of the most dovish central banks in the world. It's amazing sterling is so strong at this point in time.
But they have got to raise either this month or next. "A stitch in time beats nine "
