The Hamster STRs!! Richard Hammond's a secret HPCer?
The Daily Mirror: No Home Is An Improvement
"But the thing I'm most looking forward to? Not being a homeowner for a while.
Thanks to the vagaries of the housing market, we have sold but not bought, so we're living in a rented house until we do.
And I can't wait. I shall be freed from having to justify my decor, the wallpaper, the carpets and the colour of the ruddy bath."

Great to here that a well known celeb is a fellow STR. Great publicity too. As I keep saying, it's only a matter of time before the general sentiment turns against property. I remember it so well from the early 90's. People telling me that (at about £220k) my house was £100k over-priced. Miserable time. Walked past a nice house today that was going for £340k back then - I remember thinking that we could have bought it if we'd sold in 1989. Would probably fetch around £1.25m now. Oh well, just one of those 'if only' things that pepper our lives. But it's that constant reminder that sustains my resolve this time. Keep the faith - it's just a matter of time.

(should read 'Great to hear..'). When are we going to get an edit facility here ...?

I do think a few facilities on the site could do with some errm .. updating. A ratcheted ranking system would keep important stories in prominence too.

I think that spelling and grammar editing facility will end the opportunity of one-glance judgement on how learned and articulate the blogger is, thus allowing the weeding out of those not worth reading...
I'm only joking of course, it's Sat night and i've had a few.... :-)
