Rents are starting to rise again in Australia...

RENTS last year rose at their fastest annual rate for 16 years as landlords took advantage of falling vacancy rates and made tenants pay more for a place to live.
Although the overall consumer price index fell in the December quarter, average rents across Australia jumped 1 per cent for the quarter and by 3.7 per cent for the year.
