Reuters: House prices fall 1% in December
House prices fell 1.0 percent last month, taking the annual rate to 9.9 percent, a Halifax survey showed on Friday.
Last month the Halifax said prices rose 1.7 percent in November for an annual three-month rate of 9.6 percent.
The nation's largest mortgage lender said the cost of an average home fell to 186,035 pounds in December.
