Blancheflower - Immigrants keep down wage inflation

Lets see now, the plebs on the street cannot have a payrise otherwise an Eastern European will have your job. So if our resident FTBs cannot afford a house now they won't be able to in the future.
This is apparently good for a) Business and b) Government but not your average FTB.
Without FTBs the housing market will be slowly strangled and eventually prices will start to drop as the difference grows between the wealthiest and poorest members of our once great country.

The more I hear from Mr Blanchflower, the less I like him!

.....he would do, he is an American, and an economist.
Viewing the world in this simplistic way leads them to make the same mistakes over and over again, is why the Middle East is on fire, and why they are the 2nd. most disliked Nation on the planet. Listening to, and acting upon, their neo-imperialist, free market fundementalism is what has made us the 3rd most disliked.
Blanchflower will never alter his position. The facts have almost no effect upon these people. They are dillusional, immune to reality, and are thus extreemley dangerous indeed.
Why does nobody seem to question the validity of a yankee on the board of the BOE anyway?

...and two articles down the list is one about not trusting the New Labour inflation figure...so in summary ...New Labour inflation figure is false and understated true inflation is higher than published...and immigrants are holding wage inflation down....so over time that makes me poorer doesn't it?

As a two-week per month immigrant himself I don't see Blancheflower's huge remuneration as keeping down wage inflation.
