Bad news stories coming thick and fast

Daily Mail: Homeowners' triple whammy

Homebuyers were rocked by a triple dose of depressing financial news. First they were warned to brace themselves for yet another interest rate rise, the fourth in seven months. That threat came in the wake of figures showing inflation is running at its highest for 15 years. Finally, the plight of first-time buyers was painted as bleaker than ever, with a report showing they are taking on unprecedented levels of debt to secure a toehold in the market.

i can't belive Blair just waved off the level of inflation simply by saying he expected inflation to fall back down to it's 2% target by the end of this year! With no explantion of how he is to achieve this feat, oh yeah i forgot he won't have too worry about it will he?

I've said all along that it's only a matter of time before the tabloids start peddling the other way and jump on the bears bandwagon - great to see the turnaround from 'house prices to double before bedtime' stories...

Crikey, maybe some mortgage company has refused to stump up extra for ads.

Or is it that the brainless junior journos have been hoisted by their own property petard,
and no longer have their bearish articles vetoed by the seniors, now the smart ones
have cashed in.

How have I become so cynical ?!
