The Times: Lower forecasts, higher taxes
Gordon Brown confirmed today that he has again been forced to downgrade his forecasts for the Government’s finances as they slide deeper into the red.

Hang on wasn't he patting himself on the back yesterday for predicting 2.5% growth, saying how he smells of roses?
This has to be a record for the cycle of ridiculous growth prediction + retraction + downgrade.
