Drop in average asking price during the festive season
First Rung: House prices in the doldrums - Rightmove
Rightmove.co.uk has revealed that the average asking price in the U.K. has dropped this month by 0.3% (582 pounds) - but not due to a slowdown, but by sellers putting their properties on the market in the run up to Christmas.

It's been said before but I'll be the parrot. I don't think it makes sense to read much into this data as the fall before Christmas is probably normal. People who can really be bothered to sell approaching Christmas are more than likely keener to sell than
a spring speculator.

Just wait for the January bonus/payrise figures, and watch CPI and interest rates jump like a spring hare!
