Firstrung: Buying with home information packs gets resounding vote of confidence
At the latest HIPs conference the audience and panel, made up of both leading proponents and opponents of the packs, unanimously said YES, they would prefer to buy a home with a pack.

I wonder what Rightmove is thinking now?, having the extra Home Condition Reports, might help sell a house.
I personally like the idea of HIPs, it seem bonkers that currently this information needs to be paid by the buyer, to then find out that the title deeds inform him that there is a public right of way smack down the middle of there kitchen.

The Home Condition Report is a dead duck (at least for the foreseeable future). What vendor in his/her right mind is going to voluntarily pay for an optional report that might highlight some defect in the house he/she is trying to sell.
