I hear from relatives in the USA that the media are "lit up" and chortling with tales of doom and gloom. Meanwhile, those stuck with houses are gnashing their teeth and asking the press and television not to gloat quite so much on their demise. Ah, the beauties of the media. If they're not pumping up a dead animal and making it walk as in the UK, they're singing you gleefully to the graveyard as over there.
