up to 10% rise in houseprices? Oh and England will sail through and win the World Cup...and breaking news..pigs have been found sprouting wings at a farm in Dorset...
I will continue paying my rent for the next couple of years before I put in my ridiculously low offer for a house and get it accepted, thankyou very much Mr Spindoctor...

George - the 10% is a rise in transactions, not in prices.

Redwing, I must admit, I wasn't really paying attention while reading the article it was such nonsense, but even a 10% rise in transactions is probably just 2nd/3rd/4th mortgages for the "feel rich" mindset.
