Blair for UN secretary general?
newsinsight.net: UK wants Indian support for Blair
The UK has been pushing India the past month to back Tony Blair for the position of UN secretary general, hoping thereby to overcome Asian and European opposition, but that is unlikely.

In view of the position having been the power broker of global arms trade for the past few decades, Bliar will quite fit for the job. He may well be thinking about sidelines eg non-exec directorship for Calrisle and Hallyburton whom he obliged hugely since 1997, by reducing himself to be the mock of the nation, widely considered as a petty liar (even by cats and toddlers on the street). Now is the pay back time Tony, isn't it?!

He's seriously out of touch.
The day he became GWB's pet poodle, he ruined his chances of international approval for anything more.

How can someone who was integral in a possibly illegal war become secretary general of the organisation he side tracked and made look impotent?
Half of the world hate us and want us dead now thanks to Tony

I can think of a nice little position for him - in the Hague (with Bush and Rumsfeld) - on trial for war crimes..

I too can think of a nice little position for him - minister for homeland security in the Iraqi government.
...this is fun.

Bliar seems to not understand that he is now one of the most discredited and despised world leaders on the planet. It's quite unbelieveable that he can have become so detached from reality, and the fact that he is still in power, is doing huge damage to our global standing as a Nation.

Blair shames the UK, her people and the Labour Party. Pro- American, right-wing war criminal....Not even the UN is that out of touch! I want to see him in The Hague before he disappears to America. We emigrated to Canada 3 years ago and one of the main reasons was the UK gov't. Glad we did!
