Saw an analyst called Jonathan Compton being interviewed by Adam Shaw on Working Lunch today who said live on the BBC that he's expecting rates to increase by 0.25% within the next 8 weeks. Bring on the party!

There has been quite a dramatic change of sentiment in the city over the last couple of weeks.
Pundits have moved their predictions from 'possible rate cut' to 'on hold for the rest of the year' to 'rate rise imminent' with lightning speed.
My favourite month for a rise remains August for the time being, but I'm looking forward to the MPC minutes next week.
