Gordon Brown was present at the plant to witness the result of his economic miracle.

The bureaucracy and legislation introduced by New Liebour is killing the goose that lays the golden egg. I wonder if this is a margin ward and why did Crash Gordon turn up to gloat?
Sadly, this is not the end of it. There will be worst to come. I remain amazed by the ability of the house market to look possible risks in the face and yet to continue to march upwards in blissful ignorance. No sign of a HPC today or tomorrow.

That's alot of job losses for the area to absorb - not to mention the ancillary jobs in the area that go hand-in-hand with the Vauxhall jobs. They are one of the major job employers in the area. No doubt their skills will come in handy when they take up that job in a call centre.
I drive past the factory every day and do feel for the workers, and I'm afraid to say that there are few quality jobs in the area to go into.
