Had to laugh at this:
"..a large downward effect came from bus travel with average fares falling following the introduction this April of free off-peak local bus travel in England for people aged 60 and over and for disabled people."
Honestly I swear they make up these figures as they go along.

It's difficult to see how "free off-peak local bus travel in England for people aged 60 and over and for disabled people" can affect CPI to this extent. Obviously the extra funds required to provide free bus travel are just created as if by magic, and have no repercussions whatsoever as far as increased costs to anyone else.

Do not look at the indexes, just look at the costs. Public transport cost have risen for other than OAP's.. All fuel costs have risen dramatically. (Outside teh index Council tax is raising above inlation). Who are they trying to kid!

the government highjack the media (Clinton started that trick in the US). No one else gets a look in.
The media have easy top stories and they work together to create a mist of bullshit across the country.
You can't believe any of the figures and stats. It's all lies and the truth will out!

This is like living under Stalinism where the state just churns out made-up statistics about laughable things to say how rosy everything is. OAP bus travel. Sigh.
