Buy to Let - Number of mortgages

As buy to let mortgages are a fairly new phenomenon in any great quantity we are only able to go back until 1999 but even with this recent data we can clearly see the huge growth in the Buy to Let market.

This will be an interesting graph to follow over the next couple of years as we believe that the buy to let market is near to its peak.

Buy to Let - Total amount lent

Almost a mirror image to the graph above but this graph is slightly steeper. This indicates that borrowers are becoming even more highly geared and exposing themselves to greater financial risk.
