Is it possible to open a truly anonymous account?

Any recommendations of a good one paying a decent interest rate (and no I don't mean with one with a branch in Nigeria)

Can you open one at the offices of a Swiss bank in London? What sort of money laundering issues are there.

Advice please from those experienced in these matters.

By the way I'm not an international crook - I just want to move my STR fund to a safer location. But any ideas about jewel heists or currency forging operations would still be of interest. (joke!)

Don't think Swiss bank accounts are truly anonymous anymore, various tax authorities have forced them to reveal details of nationals from their respective countries holding accounts there.
