Well Gus & Tulip,

I think the Swansea Girls need their own thread because they deserve it!

I have travelled around a fair bit, talked my fair share of rubbish in wine bars, clubs and pubs when on the pull but never, and I mean never, met such a load of free loading slappers as there are here in Swansea. On the up side they do tend to be a bit better looking than the girls out on the town in say Huddersfield, Hull or Doncaster etc.

Over the years they have cost me a fortune because I am the eternal optimist, ever hopeful, eagerly searching for a bit of rumpy pumpy. The rumpy is not hard to find but at a price!

What amazes me is that fairly respectable ladies mainly from the West I might say are more than happy to have a bit of a grope or fumble in some club loo, then straighten their skirt and saunter back to the bar.

In general I bet half the blokes on here have lost houses, been repossessed or worse because of some woman. It's our own fault, remember the days when you wanted to go to the pub with the boys?. She said "I'm going out with the girls then, you can baby sit, it's only fair".

Back she came, never to late, always about 12.30 to 1.00 after having had a good scrub up. I remember my ex used to go out with a bar of some special soap just in case. You could always tell if she had pulled by the smell of soap. I can never walk past Lush without cringing at what that bloody shop has cost me.

She finds some bloke (tosser) always caring and attentive (according to her) and before you know it he's in your house sat on your favourite chair watching the rugby on your big telly. You are in a scrubby little flat in the Uplands.

Sound familiar? mad.gif

No, thank goodness - does not sound familiar. Well, yes, it is familiar to several men I know... and each seems to know several men that it has happened to and so on. Thankfully, I got out just in time.

Friends of mine come to Swansea and are always amazed by how attractive the women here are - personally, I do not see it but I have travelled the World - and then wonderfully shocked by how 'loose' they act on the Wind Street and so on.

You have to remember that many of those 40-something West girlies were girls about town - does it ever leave them - back in the 1980s when Swansea was simply grim. The only way a girl could progress then, assuming she was not career bunny and clever enough to get out of Swansea - was to find one of the local 'rich' boys - a solicitor, a GP or maybe a Consultant, some self-employed boy making loads cash in hand, etc - grab hold of him, give him the best sex he ever had, marry the sod and before she knew it she was living her 'Swansea dream' down the Mumbles or thereabouts complete with a few kids and a convertible.

Alas, whilst that satisified her in her 20s and 30s once the late 30s started coming round she began to get restless - perhaps she realised that she had not done much with her life, or the man in her life was no longer earning enough dosh or had lost interest in here, perhaps a 101 things... and those fit, muscular steriod taking 20-something makes down Wind Street are so tempting compared to 40-something hubby. A fling won't make a difference will it, they convince themselves. A fling with a steroid head whilst she looks for another 40-something with pots of money.

Take a look on the dating sites and see how many girlies from Swansea are on there in their 40s and 50s seeking men younger than themselves. Hey, this is god therapy, the more I type the more I realise I have less reason to hang around this town.

Don't know if you're aware but with the past few years of easy credit and cheap flights abroad, many of them have been branching out. I know of a few wives (including some of my aunts) who've gone away for a weekend with the 'girls' to places like Benidorm now that the kids have grown up. But I'm sure they spent their time sightseeing and taking in a foreign culture... tongue.gif

Funny you should say that, I was in La Prenza a couple of Saturdays ago and a responsible mother of three who I know quite well came in. She was with her mates, all 7 of them I think, I bought her a drink (only her) stood chatting with them for a bit. They had just come back from Benidorm on a girly do. Told her she didn't look very tanned, they all started screaming with laughter. Been clubbing all night and no doubt bonking all day. The one thing about these Swansea girls is, they think they are good value for money. Yours that is.

After a while they got used to me and continued chatting as though I wasn't there. Seems that before coming out for the night they had:
All had their hair coloured and styled - min £60
False tan all over twice- £25
Professional make up artist - £22 a face
A bloody good waxing - God know what that costs
The one I knew had hair extensions - not a clue what that costs didn't like to ask.

So the whole lot of them must have spent about a grand just to come out on the town. Just spent next weeks food money. When the steroid heads start chatting them up I notice they don't buy the girls a drink, not likely, they didn't need to. They were all married, so guess who was paying for that lot. Their blokes of course!!

To be fair I think they are good fun as long as they are married to someone else.
