Lest we forget.
Whatever happened to that cunning plan to make the process of buying and selling a house easier (but instead managed to depress the housing market ahead of the "credit crunch") at the wonderful knockdown price of £500 a punt ?
And for that you get 3 or 4 pieces of useless paper which no mortgage lender will accept, still insisting on doing their own searches etc. Please remind me who was the Minister responsible ? Oh yes I remember now it was "Mrs Balls" aka Yvette Cooper another over-promoted non-entities.
Housebuilders are mothballing sites and are losing production capacity. It could take years for them to recover.
Many of them never will recover - they'll go bust. The housing business and the general economic situation is much, much more intense than anything seen by anyone in Swansea since the depression - and it may well be a lot worse than that.
There are so many building projects on stop around the Marina and SA1 that it's slowly beginning to look like those pictures of London after the Blitz. Stark half build project there to remind the Westies that their investments have gone south.
I was in the Prenza last friday taking a sherbot or two, I could here the girlish shreaks coming from the garden. The Westie ladies were out having fun, hubby will be baby sitting and Sharon, Beverley and Kathy will getting home at 1.35am after having a very quiet evening getting hammered with a few muscular builders. Poor old hubby, he can't complain after losing and spending all their hard earned investment.
Gus your mates house is now worth a fiver less cos time goes on.
