Does anyone know of any bicycle companies (manufacturer, retail) companies?

I'd tended to think they'll get hit due to the drop off in demand as people tighten their belts and rising material prices but I reakon there could be a ditch the car ride a bike type scenairo.

However, I can't imagine the margins would be that great, and I'd expect large companies to jump in if demand really picks up.

Greater margins on the maintenance?

Do your own research of course, but Halfords seems to be getting quite good reports in the financial press.

Of course they do car stuff as well, but the margins on car paraphernalia seem to be massive. I don't drive but my dad paid over a fiver for a little bottle of stuff to stop his radiator leaking, it probably have cost about 30p to make.
